Based on a successful outcome in this instance and on the strength of additional car park related consulting work, PCI has been appointed as the parking consultant for the World Square Public Car park. Their scope of work includes preparing a draft management agreement and providing advice on the appointment of a car park manager.

Scope of Work
PCI’s involvement with this project was extensive and included:
- • Design review
- • Equipment specification and tendering
- • Feasibility study and market research
- • Advice on appointment of a car park operator
- • Construction brief (including signage, lighting, painting, linemarking, etc)
Outcome
• Introduced express ramps and improved traffic flow patterns to reduce travel distances and improve design efficiencies
• Benchmarked the ‘product’ against other city car parks to:-
1) Provide shoppers and other customers with a top quality and memorable first and last impression of their visit to World Square
2) Generate repeat customer visits and word of mouth “advertising”
3) Maximise immediate profitability
4) Accelerate the rate of growth in profitability
• Prepared a comprehensive construction brief in order to improve the efficiency of the car park’s entry and exit design and to create an improved ambiance for users (retail and commercial) by the introduction of new signage and lighting.
• Replaced the car park access control and revenue equipment and provided advice on management and operational issues to improve the car park’s revenue.
